Our Vision

All Durham youth will complete a postsecondary credential and begin a rewarding career by age 25.

Roughly 40 percent of Durham’s young people may not be on track to complete high school, achieve a postsecondary credential of some kind or gain employment by the time they are 25.

This problem is not new, but with the closure of public institutions like schools and libraries, the digital divide is growing and presenting more inequities than ever before. Fortunately, many Durham leaders are now taking action and working together to close the gap.

Made in Durham’s New Youth Network Cohort

Despite the many unique challenges Made in Durham's 5th Youth Network (YN) cohort faced, they were still able to wrap up action projects in their schools and complete the selection process for the new cohort. We are so incredibly proud of the Youth Network members for persevering and are excited to be welcoming the new members this August.
