Made in Durham Youth Network elects representatives to board and work teams

Thirteen members of Made in Durham’s Youth Network have been elected to serve on Made in Durham’s board of directors, advisory team and task forces.

The Youth Network is a carefully selected network of diverse young people who serve to ensure the voice and perspective of Durham’s young people are integrated into the work of developing an education-to-career system that will serve them.

Elected were:

  • Made in Durham Board of Directors: Bethlehem Ferede and Elijah King.
  • Made in Durham Advisory Team: Ghasan Ahmed, Sachdeep Singh, Keyvon Washington and Madeleine Yancy.
  • Made in Durham Racial Equity Task Force: Daniel Holbert, Keon Humphrey, Aminah Jenkins and Uche Nwogalanya.
  • Made in Durham Career Advising Task Force: Tilson Gitter, Isabella Lima and Mayra Salgado.

Made in Durham is a community partnership of educators, business, government, youth-serving nonprofits and young people mobilized around a shared vision that all of Durham’s youth will complete high school and a post-secondary credential and begin a rewarding career by the age of 25.
